This story can also be used for PSHE, moral values and assemblies. This accompanying comprehension question pack contains a PowerPoint and printable worksheets. Each slide on the PowerPoint has between 4 and 6 questions relating to different sections of the story. The answers to these questions are shown on alternating slides for the teacher’s convenience. There are also downloadable printable worksheets for written work.

The first part of this resource uses high-order thinking skills question techniques, based on Bloom’s Taxonomy of Learning. The questions relate to different sections of the story. Following the questions is a task, which requires pupils to make up their own set of questions about the story, using a given template. The second part of this pack is a fun game for all the class, which has an element of challenge while testing grammatical competence. This appears on the PowerPoint (with answers) as well as a printable resource.
